i'm stuck at home with my little brother and i'm meant to be doing my history essay, but, frankly, i hve better things to do which will probably cost me in the long term but in the short term i'm enjoying myself much more than if i was writing about the impact that WWI had on australian society. or i could be doing my english and writing about war poetry, i'm so sick of war. first of all we do it in history and now we're doing it in english and there's war going on in iraq and many other places in the world and you think that it may make a bigger/better impact on the world if we were studying the current wars instead of ones from early last century! and it would turn out better for everyone involved if we were actually doing something to help the war victims instead of just writing essays about how female employment increased in the late 1910's due to war! and now, that i think about, isn't that putting a positive spin on war? that because thousands of men were off getting blown up or blowing other people up women were gaining more importance in society which is meant to be a good thing as it is further enhancing gender equality...but it sort of isn't as women had to stay and work while men fought for their country. this is probably really boring to read but it's helping me wiht ideas...sort of, not really because we're nto supposed to be talking about the positives/negatives of war.
